The Nigerian Legal Awards ceremony held yesterday at the prestigious Landmark event Centre, Oniru, Lagos.The Awards ceremony which had many legal giants in attendance honoured 40 under 40 years old Nigerian lawyers who are making their marks in the Nigerian Legal industry, among other categories of Awards.
The winners of this category of award were chosen after painstaking review by a reputable faculty of judges using many parameters including a voting process which could only give a nominee a highest total of 25 marks out of 100.
One of the remarkable personalities honoured with the Nigerian Rising Star Award is Akorede Habeeb Lawal, the Principal Counsel of A.H. Lawal & Co and the immediate past National Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association.
In his remarks, Akorede Habeeb Lawal stated that “it was already a huge honour to have been shortlisted as one of the 120 finalists for the ESQ 40 under 40 Nigerian Legal Awards. To eventually win the award yesterday is incredible and it is to the glory of Almighty God. I am humbled by the goodwill of my family, friends and colleagues during the voting stage of the award process. Thank you and God bless.”
