A 28-year-old security guard, Chinedu Agbo, was on Wednesday arraigned before a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos for allegedly breaking into his employer’s house and stealing mobile phones, other devices and foreign currencies valued at N1.7million.
Agbo was arraigned on a three-count charge of conspiracy, breaking, entry and theft before Magistrate Mrs A. M. Olumide-Fusika.
Prosecutor Ben Ekundayo, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on November 19 at about 3:00am at 13A, Bishop Oluwole Street, Victoria Island, residence of his employer, Mrs Christiana Ololade.
Ekundayo alleged that the defendant conspired with others, now at large, to break into his employer’s home and steal mobile phones and foreign currencies.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Olumide-Fusika, granted him bail, and adjourned the case till December 6.
