The Federal High Court has Pursuant to Order 46 Rule 4(b) of its 2019 Rules declared its Easter vacation for the year 2020.

In a Circular dated 20th of March, 2020 made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL) issued and personally signed by the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice J. T. Tsoho, the scheduled vacation will commence on Monday, April 13th, and end on Friday, April 17th.

The Chief Judge, however, affirmed that Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt divisions will be in skeletal sessions during the vacation to handle emergency cases.

He said: “The Abuja Division will cater for cases from the Federal Capital Territory, North Central, North Western and North-Eastern parts of the country.

“The Lagos Judicial Division will cater for cases from Lagos and South Western States while Port – Harcourt Judicial Division will cater for cases from Rivers State, South-South and South-Eastern States.”

According to the Circular, the following Hon. Judges will serve as Vacation Judges:

ABUJA JUDICIAL DIVISION
Hon. Justice A. R. Mohammed

LAGOS JUDICIAL DIVISION
Hon. Justice R. M. Aikawa

PORT-HACOURT JUDICIAL DIVISION
Hon. Justice M. L. Abubakar

The Hon. Chief says: “The Vacation Judges and heads of Divisions are as usual advised to refer to the Hon. Chief Judge all matters which they believe may require His Lordship’s prompt and directives.”
