In a mail to former Diamond Bank customers, Access Bank stated, “We also wish to inform you that effective March 1, 2020, former Diamond Bank cheques will no longer be honoured on presentation for payment.
“This applies to both in-house and clearing cheque transactions. You will need to request for new Access Bank cheque book at the nearest branch or through your Relationship Team, if you are yet to do so.
“We look forward to a continuous mutual banking relationship.”
Also some banks sent similar messages to their customers to notify them of the development.
