Aloy Ejimakor, the lead counsel of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Tuesday said the call for the release of the agitator is now a pan-Nigerian issue.

Ejimakor was reacting to the list of demands made by the FearlessInOctober protesters.

Among the demands made by the protesters was Kanu’s unconditional release.
The protesters also demanded for the demilitarization of the Southeast.

They further demanded that all EndSARS and political detainees must be released and could be compensated.

Ejimakor said the call for Kanu’s release was no longer an Igbo affair.

Posting on X, Ejimakor wrote: “Lest we forget, the release of MAZI NNAMDI KANU is No. 5 amongst the demands being made in the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests. That makes #FreeMNK a pan-Nigerian issue, not just an Igbo issue. This should be reckoned with.”

Meanwhile, Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court had stepped down from Kanu’s matter following the agitator’s declaration of lack of confidence in her.
