President of the Nigerian court of Appeal, Hon. Justice M. B. Dongban-Mensem has called for comments and observations on the court of appeal Act, 2004 (As amended), the court of Appeal Rules, 2016 and all existing Practice Directions of the Court of appeal practice direction.
In a letter signed by the President of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice M. B. Dongban-Mensem on 16th, November, 2020, expressing desire to amend the act and all existing practice direction.
The letter reads in part “The amendments are necessary in order to provide an effective, efficient, speedy and good case management system in the court as well as to adapt the Court of Appeal Act, Rules and Practice Directions to the emerging electronic channels of communication.
“In furtherance of the above, users and stakeholders are requested to forward their comments and observations to enable a wholesome and all-inclusive exercise, that will further enrich the amendment process.”
All inputs are expected to reach the Chambers of the Hon. PCA within fourteen (14) days from the date of this letter which is November 30, 2020.
