The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will swear in 12 newly appointed Judges of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

The ceremony will take place at the Supreme Court of Nigeria’s Main Courtroom at 10:00 am.
This was revealed in a statement made available to TheNigeriaLawyer on Sunday by Dr. Akande Festus, Director of Press & Information, Supreme Court of Nigeria.

The new judges, representing various states across Nigeria, are:

1. Buetnaan Mandy Bassi (Plateau)
2. Ademuyiwa Olakunle Oyeyipo (Kwara)
3. Bamodu Odunayo Olutomi (Lagos)
4. Iheabunike Anumaenwe Godwin (Imo)
5. Odo Celestine Obinna (Enugu)
6. Hauwa Lawal Gummi (Zamfara)
7. Sarah Benjamin Inesu Avoh (Bayelsa)
8. Maryam Iye Yusuf (Kogi)
9. Ariwoola Oluwakemi Victoria (Oyo)
10. Lesley Nkesi Belema Wike (Rivers)
11. Ibrahim Tanko Munirat (Bauchi)
12. Abdulrahman Usman (Taraba)

This appointment aims to strengthen the judiciary in the Federal Capital Territory and improve the administration of justice in the region.
