The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), has issued a public notice informing accredited agents, companies, and the general public about ongoing challenges with the Company Registration Portal (CRP).
According to the notice released on May 24, 2024, the CRP is currently experiencing slowdowns, occasional downtime, and backlogs in processing both pre-incorporation and post-incorporation applications.

This is due to optimization efforts underway to improve the post-incorporation process and deploy enhanced features.

“The optimization has resulted in a slowdown of the network, occasional downtime and resultant backlog in processing both pre and post incorporation applications,” the CAC stated in the notice.

The Commission apologized for the inconveniences caused and appealed to users with pending applications to be patient as efforts are made to clear the backlogs despite the ongoing challenges.

Once completed, the optimization is expected to provide end-users with an improved and more efficient customer experience on the CRP platform.

“The optimization when completed is expected to give end-users pleasant customer experience,” the CAC said.
