A university of Uyo (Uniuyo) student simply identified as Ubong has been stabbed by his friend to death barely 24 hours after burying his mum.

According to a source who posted the incident online, Ubong had an argument with his roommate (name withheld) whom they lived together at Idak Okpo street in Uyo, and the friend stabbed him severely at the back with a knife.

The deceased was rushed to the university clinic where he gave up the ghost due to loosing excessive blood from the stab wounds.

Consequently, the roommate was arrested by the police and is currently cooling off in the Barracks road police station awaiting trial.
