The University of Lagos announced yesterday that the dates for its 51st Convocation ceremony would be June 30 to July 9. (2019).

Mrs. Nonye Oguama, Principal Assistant Registrar, Corporate Affairs, made the announcement.

According to the announcement, a pre-convocation news conference to announce events planned for the ceremony has been scheduled for June 30.

It mentioned that a rehearsal for hooding ceremonies will take place on July 1 at the School of Postgraduate Studies, various faculties, and the Distance Learning Institute (DLI).

The statement went on to say that July 2 had been set aside for convocation services, a special Jumat Service, and a Thanksgiving Service.

According to the announcement, on July 5, there will be an exhibition opening and project inauguration, which will be followed by a convocation lecture.

“On July 6, a congregation will be held to award first degrees, graduation awards, and prizes to graduating students from the Faculties of Education, Social Sciences, Arts, Environmental Sciences, and Sciences.

“On July 7, the congregation will convene to present first degrees, diplomas, certificates, and prizes to graduating students from the Faculties of Law, Engineering, Management Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Dental Science, Pharmacy, and DLI.
“That for the Post Graduate Degrees and Masters will also hold on the same day,” the statement said.
